Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This policy explains how Kitefish ("we", "us") handles information in the Kitefish games on Google Play, including Klondike Solitaire, and on this website. Kitefish is an independent developer publishing on Google Play under the developer name Kitefish, and is responsible for the information described here. If you have questions, email info@kitefish.dev.

Information we collect

Our games do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or other contact details in the game. Game progress and settings are stored on your device.

Advertising

Our games are free to play and may show ads from Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:

  • your device's advertising ID
  • your IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • device information such as model, operating system and language
  • information about the ads you see and tap

Google uses this data as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. If a game uses any other ad network, we will name it here.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before showing personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time from the game's privacy settings.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your Android settings (usually Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads on some phones).

In-app purchases

Purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made so we can unlock what you bought.

Analytics and crash reports

Some of our games may use crash reporting and analytics services, such as Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google LLC). These collect crash logs, your device model and operating system version, how the game is used, and a random identifier for your installation. This data is not linked to your name or contact details, and we use it only to fix bugs and improve our games. Each game's Google Play data safety section lists exactly what it collects.

Children

Our games are made for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Emailing us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Your choices and data deletion

You can delete all game data stored on your device by uninstalling the game. To ask us to delete any other data related to you, email info@kitefish.dev.

How long we keep data

We do not store game data on our own servers. We keep support emails only as long as we need them to help you. Ad and analytics partners keep data according to their own privacy policies.

How we protect data

Data our games send to our partners is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Only Kitefish has access to our support email account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email info@kitefish.dev.

This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security purposes (see the GitHub Privacy Statement). It also loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when your browser downloads them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
